Tianwei Deng

Tianwei Deng received the B.S. degree from the University of Electronics Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China, in 2010, the M.Eng degree from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore and the Ph.D degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2018.
From 2012 to 2017, he was also with Temasek Lab NUS, as an Associate/Research Scientist. In 2018, He shortly joined Shanghai Huawei Technology Co.,Ltd. as a Senior Engineer. From 2018 to 2020, he worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Columbia University, New York, NY, USA. From 2020 to 2026, he worked as an Associate Professor at Sun Yat-Sen University. In Sep. 2026, he joined the Great Bay University, Dongguan, China, as an Associate Professor.
He was awarded the Young Scientist Best Paper Award at the 2017 International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications (ICEAA), Italy, the FLASH Best Paper Award at the 2023 IEEE MTT-S International Wireless Symposium (IWS), the Best Student Paper Award at the 2010 International Symposium on Signals, Systems and Electronics (ISSSE), China, the ICPS Scholar from the Singapore EDB at 2010-2012, the Gold award at the 2018 Huawei Wireless Innovation Contest, and so on. He has published more than 40 academic papers (cited 1100+ with an h-factor of 13) and serves as a reviewer for top-tier journals and conferences in the field, such as IEEE TAP and TMTT.
